Skiing and activities at one of the most important ski resorts in Macedonia
The 3-5 Pigadia Ski Centre, on the western side of Mount Vermio, constitutes one of Greece's most comprehensive winter and sports destinations. It is located just 17 km from Naoussa and its location is characterised by a wide altitudinal range, with the base situated at 1,430 m and the summit reaching 2,005 m.
The ski centre is widely known for its advanced artificial snowmaking system, which ensures excellent snow quality and the uninterrupted operation of the facilities throughout the season. Access is via a paved road that is constantly maintained, making the visit easy.
3-5 Pigadia features 10 downhill pistes, which serve all categories of skiers. Notable are the 'Philippos' piste, one of the top and most difficult black pistes in the country, the 'Aristotelis', for intermediate and advanced levels, and the easy 'Paradeisos' route. The lifts include a two-seater aerial (Chairlift) and four drag lifts, while there is also a children's lift (Magic Carpet) for beginners.
Beyond recreational skiing, there is a ski/snowboard school for learning the sports, as well as an equipment rental shop.
The 3-5 Pigadia ski centre offers ample opportunities for experiences in nature, taking advantage of the alpine landscape of Vermio. You can go mountain biking and hiking on the many marked trails, or engage in more intense activities, such as mountaineering and paragliding (parapente).
Special provision has been made for young visitors, as there is an area exclusively for sledging, offering safe and organised fun for children.
3-5 Pigadia also operates as a sports centre with football pitches, a gym, and a swimming pool, attracting teams for training. Dining areas, such as the chalet at the summit, offer a break with a panoramic view, while the guesthouse/hotel at the base allows for accommodation and full use of all the mountain's activities.
