The beginning of a broader urban regeneration
The Ellinikon Experience Park is the new green oasis of Athens, a welcoming and sustainable urban park that invites you to escape from everyday life and connect with nature. It is the first part of the Ellinikon Park – which will be one of the largest coastal parks in the world – and it acts as the introduction of the Ellinikon major project to the general public.
Spread over 7.5 hectares, the park was designed according to the principles of sustainability and reuse. Over 700 trees and 80,000 plants transform the landscape to absorb carbon dioxide, reduce the temperature of the urban environment, and offer a breath of fresh air to hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors.
The Ellinikon Experience Park is home to walking areas, a fountain with hundreds of water jets and colours, an outdoor gym, a zen garden, and a children's forest with games inspired by the history of civil aviation.
