Athens Concert Hall

A music and culture centre in the centre of Athens

Athens Concert Hall is one of the most important cultural landmarks of the capital and one of the most recognised places of musical creation in Europe. Since its inauguration in 1991, it has hosted great symphony orchestras, famous conductors, international opera and dance stars, as well as important festivals, exhibitions and conferences, becoming a constant meeting point for friends of art and culture.
The architecture of the building combines monumentality with modern aesthetics. The Pentelic marble and glass façade, the imposing reception areas and the excellent acoustic concert halls - such as the historic Christos Lambrakis Hall and Alexandra Trianti Hall- offer an experience that goes beyond just listening. The Concert Hall embodies respect for the Greek musical tradition with the ambition of a city that converses equally with the major European cultural centres.
The complex includes outdoor spaces, such as the lush Park of the Concert Hall, where concerts, screenings and art exhibitions take place in the summer, as well as the Lilian Voudouri Library, one of the most important music archives in Greece. It is also the home of the Athens State Orchestra and the Camerata Friends of Music Orchestra.
Plan to attend one of its events, tour its venues, visit the café or restaurant, enjoy a glass of wine and snacks during the performance break. Experience for a while the pulse of Athenian cultural life within a space of international radiance.
