Canyoning in the gorges of Tsagarada

Nestled in the lush Mount Pelion, Tsagarada offers unique canyoning opportunities. Descending into the region's gorges will be unforgettable, as they are not merely geographical formations, but paths full of mythology and fascinating images.

The Gorge of Mylopotamos ends at the impressive beach of Mylopotamos. The ideal time to walk the route is from January to May, when the water flow is sufficient and of a safe intensity. 
A little further, Fakistra Gorge offers a magical three- to four-hour journey, surrounded by lush vegetation, with 12-metre-tall waterfalls and natural pools. You will end up at the beach of Fakistra, which many foreign visitors consider one of the finest in the world .
Even more impressive is the Gorge of Galanorema, with waterfalls more than 30 metres tall. Hidden by dense forests, the gorge offers route of varying difficulty, both for beginners and experienced canyoning enthusiasts. 
There are other gorges near Tsagarada, such as Damouchari, where you can explore many different aspects of Mt Pelion’s natural beauty.
