On the last Saturday of Carnival, all roads lead to Livadia, to Lambrou Katsoni Square in front of the Town Hall, with music, songs and traditional gaitanakia. Masqueraders, parade floats and theatrical events are prepared days in advance and the celebrations culminate with the gaitanakia featuring colourful ribbons, knitted by primary school students with undiminished enthusiasm. Join the whirl of movement, follow the dance steps and have fun with your heart, like the locals.

Night of the Spirits
In Amfissa, you will experience one of the most special ritual customs of Greece. In the narrow streets of the traditional district of Harmaina, where the art of tanning once flourished, the myth of Konstantis is revived. According to local lore, Konstantis became a spirit when lightning struck his beloved Lenio. The two-day events begin on Friday night with music, food, dancing and the "Awakening of Konstantis", to continue the next day with the "Night of the Spirits" and a huge procession, ending in Kehagia Square. Bell bearers, leather bearers and mythical figures accompany the spirit in the nocturnal city, in an evocative reenactement that blends folk faith with artistic expression.

The Flour War of Galaxidi
The seaside town of Galaxidi is transformed into a colourful playing arena on Clean Monday. Don your carnival costume – or, like seasoned participants – opt for white protective overalls and swimming goggles, smear your face with soot and fill your hands with the flour distributed by the municipality. Then plunge into the crowd and join the most liberating "battle" of your life. During the flour war of Galaxidi, laughter, high spirits, colour, and carefree fun reign supreme, as the harbour becomes a joyful stage of celebration.

Patras Carnival
The epicenter of carnival festivities, of course, lies across the Corinthian Gulf in the Peloponnese: in Patras, home to the renowned Patras Carnival. The festivities traditionally kick off in the second half of January and reach their dazzling climax with the grand parade on the last Sunday of Carnival season.
