Short distances, major enjoyment
Schinoussa, one of the smallest and most serene islands of the Small Cyclades, possesses an impressive number of beaches for its size. Small, protected coves and sandy shores with turquoise waters and easy access compose a landscape ideal for those seeking simplicity, tranquillity, and an authentic island feel.
In the southern part of the island lies Tsigouri beach, one of the largest and most popular beaches, with golden sand and shallow waters, ideal for families. A short distance away, Psili Ammos offers a quieter atmosphere and sea with a wonderful colour, while the twin sandy beach of Almyros stands out for its sandy seabed, shallow waters, and sheltered bay.
The western side of the island is home to Lioliou, a sandy shore with calm waters and a relaxed mood. Nearby is the small, sandy Mersini beach, with its tamarisk trees. Further north, the beaches of Alygaria and Fykio are two of the most unpretentious coves of the island: small, almost private, with fine sand and transparent waters.
In the eastern part lies Fountana, accessible via a short hike and famous for its tranquillity. Slightly further away, the exceptionally quiet Gerolimnionas beach offers an untouched landscape and views of the endless blue, rewarding those who choose to visit it.
Most of the beaches of Schinoussa are located at a short distance from Hora and from each other, a fact that allows visitors to discover two or even three of them on the same day.
