Small coves and crystal-clear seas
With a coastline stretching approximately 78 km, Leros invites you to discover beaches with pristine waters and beautiful natural landscapes. Follow the routes on the map and let each shore reveal its own character: from organised swimming spots to quiet, almost hidden coves.
On the eastern side, devote plenty of time to Alinda, one of the largest and most organised shores with sand and fine pebbles. Enjoy your swim in crystal-clear waters and sample local delicacies right by the waves. Continue further north and dive into Dio Liskaria, a small, protected cove, where the tamarisk trees embrace you with their shade, creating a sense of coolness. In the same area, you will find Vromolithos, a popular beach with organised facilities, as well as Panteli beach, where you can gaze at the fishing boats and get a taste of the island's high-end gastronomy.
Near Lakki, seek out Merikia and spread your towel in a peaceful landscape with pebbles and clean waters. A little further on, explore the pine-clad Koulouki and choose one of its small sandy beaches for absolute relaxation.
On the western side of the island, head towards Gourna, known for its shallow waters and beautiful sunsets.
In the north, discover the narrow Blefoutis and Agia Kioura, two quiet coves with clean waters and an authentic island character.
At the southern tip, make a stop at Kokkina beach, and let time pass slowly against the blue backdrop.
If you are in the mood for exploration, look for a small beach near the old quarry, which locals say was created over the years from natural sediment.
