A rich coastline along the North Evian Gulf
The beaches of Edipsos are so numerous that you’re certain to find one that suits you perfectly. From Loutra to Gregolimano, you can discover a different beach every day, as the nearly continuous coastline simply changes names and character along the way.
The beach of Edipsos itself is extensive, featuring both sand and pebbles, with umbrellas available in some areas. It is the most popular in the region, not only for its amenities but also for the thermal springs that bubble up or flow into the sea at one end of the beach.
Heading west, you’ll come across Agios Nikolaos Beach, with its fine sand. Located right by the road and featuring a beach bar, it attracts many visitors thanks to its close proximity to Edipsos.
Next comes Rododafni, with sunbeds, umbrellas, and lively music, but also with free space if you prefer to set up your own umbrella.
Then you’ll reach the beautiful Porto Pefko, where trees stretch right down to the water. With sandy shores and a beach bar for the essentials, its sheltered bay remains unaffected by the wind.
Mylos, in the area of Gialtra, is quieter, with no shops. It has a sandy beach, and its calm bay is often dotted with fishing boats and small vessels. You’ll also find a beach at the Loutra of Gialtra (Bania).
About 20 km from Edipsos lies the famous Golden Coast of Gregolimano, with shallow waters and exquisite sand. Here, umbrellas, sunbeds, water sports, and upbeat music from the beach bar create a lively atmosphere full of energy and fun.
If you prefer seclusion, seek out Monopetra on the opposite side of Edipsos. A wilder beach, with no shops, with pebbles and very few visitors, it is accessible via a short footpath.
