From secluded coves to open Aegean shores
Carefree relaxation awaits in northeastern Evia, centered on Agia Anna. Crystal-clear Aegean waters, sandy and pebbly beaches, cliffs for endless dives, trees stretching to the water’s edge, shops and lively spots for those who seek convenience, and quiet corners for those who prefer tranquility.
Agali, the main beach of Agia Anna, with hotels and camping sites, beach bars, and calmer stretches, can easily become your favourite summer destination. Nearby, the small beach of Agios Vasilios and Sarakiniko Beach, reachable via a short path, offer a more contained area for swimming and sunbathing compared to the vastness of Agali.
Further north, Melissi Beach is a small cove with no shops at all, while the massive Frangaki Beach is bustling with activity. At Kotsikia Beach, a few shops, municipal umbrellas, and a small cove await visitors.
South of Agia Anna, in the area of Ancient Kirinthos, lies the unforgettable Krya Vrysi Beach. A small stream flows into the sea, dramatic rocks frame the shore, and tavernas and a beach kiosk provide refreshments. Next comes Kymasi near Mantoudi, where ferries heading to the Sporades islands depart.
Further along, you reach Pili, where pine trees stretch right to the water. Another well-known beach, with several shops, umbrellas, and sunbeds, Pili can serve as a convenient base for your holiday. A bit farther is Makrys Gialos, also shaded by trees stretching to the water’s edge and featuring small tavernas, followed by the other Sarakiniko beach of the area, which has no facilities but is equally popular.
The area is ideal for families, though note that waves can sometimes pick up due to the open sea.
The beaches of Agali, Pili, and Kymasi are expected to be equipped with ramps or Seatrac systems by summer 2026, improving accessibility for visitors with disabilities.
