Greece's largest wine-growing zone opens its doors
The Great Days of Nemea is the region’s premier oenotourism event. It is a three-day celebration dedicated to wine, but also to the land, its people, and the diverse expressions of an evolving vineyard. It is the moment when Nemea speaks with its own voice about Agiorgitiko and its PDO zone—the largest wine-producing region in Greece.
Established in 2004, the event is organised by the Nemea Wine Producers Association in collaboration with the Municipality of Nemea. Its aim is to highlight local wine culture, boost oenotourism, and foster meaningful contact between the public, the producers, and the various versions of Agiorgitiko.
The festival usually takes place during the first weekend of September and spreads across the entire zone.
What you will experience:
Plan visits to more than one winery in a single day and combine the events with a stay in Nemea or the surrounding villages. The festival serves as the perfect starting point for a deeper discovery of the vineyard.
